About the program

The profession of lawyer is one of the most prestigious and demanded.

In the environment of globalization, new forms of international cooperation, inter-state and corporate disputes, the demand in skilled international lawyers is increasing continually.

The unique Joint Academic Program International Law and Comparative Legal Studies is focused on training of international level experts that are able to perform their professional duties in three languages, in such fields of expertise as Russian law, international law, Anglo-American law, intellectual property law, nuclear law, WTO law, sports law, European corporate and fiscal law, international commercial arbitration, etc.

Some of the leading experts from Russia, Europe and USA, practicing lawyers, officials of international organizations, top managers and business operators are engaged as lecturers. On a day-to-day basis, our students gain knowledge and liaison with top specialists in law that possess extensive expertise and vast practical experience.

Trainees residing in Montreux enjoy the unique opportunity of immersion into international environment, discovering European mindset, as well as invaluable experience of multicultural interaction and learning their trade in the traditions of European school of jurisprudence.

Following successful completion of the training program, students receive two diplomas:

Lectures of the leading professors of Russian, Swiss and European universities, representatives of international institutions, banks, partners of legal firms, and senior officials in companies


16 hours per week of French and English lessons per week in Montreux conducted by native speakers — up to the final proficiency level of B2/C1, as well as the possibility of immersive interaction in verbal environment


240 hours of Legal English and Francais Juridique training courses
Internship in international organizations, corporations, banks, legal firms located in Switzerland, the EU and Russia


Personal approach to every student and employment assistance
A selection of extracurricular modules in compliance, economics and business studies

Learning process

The learning process is organized around the principles of the Bologna process; its main objective is improving student and educator mobility and strengthening relations between European universities and universities around the world.

Learning is organized in modules, which means continuous training in a discipline for several weeks with subsequent examination. Following the completion of a module, students move on to the next discipline. Concurrently, students are intensively trained in English and French. Starting the third year of learning, instruction is carried out in English. Besides that, professional Legal English and Francais Juridique training courses are offered.
